Our Story
The vision and inspiration of the company came from Owner and Operator, Mark Bergner. This new concept is years in the making. As a young child, his family would often host numerous social events and parties. If there was an occasion to gather, it typically took place at his Denver family home. These lively festivities made quite an impression and unknowingly introduced him into the hospitality industry. Fast forward to his 16th birthday, he went and worked in a locally owned family Italian restaurant working the pizza ovens. He continued learning about the industry by studying Hotel and Restaurant management at Kansas State. The desire to learn continued, as he enrolled at the Florida Culinary Institute soon after college. This combination of studies allowed for a balanced knowledge of all restaurant operations.
He returned to the Denver area and began working in corporate and locally owned restaurants. There experiences propelled him to launch his first venture, Visitale Catering Company. His company was personally endorsed by former Colorado Governor Bill Owens. During an event a future client asked him to cater a fundraiser for Mayor John Hickenlooper; who went on to be the Governor of Colorado and now is a US Senator. His catering business closed during the 2009 Recession.
During the Fall of 2018, he moved to the Atlanta area. A job opportunity brought him to the Low Country 3 years later. Taking a page from his Father's playbook, he formulated his own plan to do more with a Mexican restaurant back in Denver, co-founded by his Father. Mas y Mas Grill is a from scratch mobile kitchen bringing flavors from the West that are sure to deliver a great experience.
